Adelaide 21st Birthday Photography: Kayla

We’re going for a throwback here, with the lovely Kayla’s 21st birthday in February 2020. We’re traversing space and time to a time pre-COVID. Remember those days? Ah, halcyon days.

Speaking about nostalgia, the party was held at the Norwood bar, Stone’s Throw, which we’ve come to learn went into liquidation at the start of October. Rip. What a wonderful little bar/restaurant it was. With a wonderful beer garden out the back, and a spacious white dining area with your classic indoor plants.

Apart from the vivacious and lively Kayla, the other centrepiece to Kayla’s 21st birthday celebrations was the rainbow birthday cake. The base decorated like a Glenelg sunset piece, wrapping upwards towards a pastel middle-tier adorned by fondant flowers, butterflies and leaves, leaving the top to be finished by a floral mandala. A step back from the cake made for queens, lay a 21st birthday flower arrangement leant up against the green wall in the beer garden.

But the most sentimental piece was an array of homages and relics of Kayla’s past with letters, photos and dresses from her younger days. Cute. And sweet.
