Travel Photo Journal: Japan
In 2017, during the month of November, I set off to visit the land of anime and cherry blossoms for a refreshing end of year break. During my three week stay, I visited Tokyo, Kyoto, Takayama, Hakone, Hiroshima and Osaka. If I had to pick one favourite, it would definitely be Tokyo. That city is unreal and even though I based myself there for most of my stay, I still think I explored at least 5% of the city. I can’t wait to go back!
Kyoto would come close in second place. Mainly due to its reputation of supplying the world’s best chocolate dessert gyozas in town (it doesn’t actually have that title, but it sure does deserve it) I think about those Gyozas daily.
After visiting Japan’s most popular cities, I decided to use my JR pass (I highly recommend using this pass. If you need any help booking a pass, let me know!) and hit the Japanese mountains by visiting Takayama. After uploading my images to my personal Facebook account, my dad sends me a message. “Are you actually in Japan? All I’m seeing is pictures of trees?!”.
Firstly, yes. I was in Japan, Dad. And secondly, I’m going to take unlimited amounts of images if Japan’s landscapes, agriculture and animals look as incredible as below. See for yourself and let me know what you think!
Oh my gosh, those gyozas were the best.
