Adelaide Proposal Photography: Sam and Lauren
Full disclaimer: we play D&D with these guys. Now that that’s out of the way, we can get on with this Adelaide proposal photography blog post.
We’ve been pals with Sam and Lauren for 5/6 years now, as Sam and one of Lewis’ good mates, Chris, used to live together. Lewis and Sam used to play futsal together at Campbelltown (and a comeback is on the cards for Scunthorpe United), while now facing-off fiercely across many facets of the competitive arena, be it; golf, Xpert 11, Codenames - and now, as aforementioned, D&D. Lauren and I have simultaneously started practicing yoga together in what feels like most days.
For those of you reading at home, and connected to Sam and Lauren, no, this isn’t new news. Sam didn’t just pop the question. Lauren didn’t just say yes. In fact, we were lucky enough to be hanging out in Jimbaran, Bali, for their honeymoon with these two kindred spirits. This was a stylised proposal photoshoot down at Deep Creek Bridge, Basket Range in collaboration with the talented florists, Honeysuckle + Hue, who provide uniquely curated designs made with a love for all things wild. As artists, we tend to accentuate certain features. We couldn’t but help but embellish Lauren’s gorgeous red locks with the red of the proteas.
The setting was Deep Creek Bridge - and wow - if you’re a fan of finding these little hidden gems around Adelaide, and showing them to your friends, this is a must-visit. Deep Creek Bridge is certainly to be considered when looking for places to propose in Adelaide. Constructed in 1867 and restored between 1992 and 1995, the bridge makes for an awesome, awe-inspiring wintery setting, while simultaneously a potential picnic spot during spring and summer (mind you, caution of the long grass for snakes). Caution: may invoke the below sentiments, causing resent to the final couple seasons.
Visually, as previously stated, we were going for that wintery aesthetic, with lots of cold colours and warm clothes. This wasn’t misplaced, nor staged, as the air was frosty despite the bright sun in patches. We’ll look at staging another Adelaide proposal photoshoot beach-wards as we see the majority of our proposals tend to occur with waves in the background - see exhibit 1 and exhibit 2. Although, Diana & Anthony’s proposal photoshoot took place in Kuitpo. People love nature - 🤷♀️.
If you’re doing some research into how/where/when/why (hopefully not why…) to propose, and want to chat, we’re here for you. You can do it! I believe in you!
Now, time to read up on Kamala Harris’s policies.
