Adelaide Conference and Headshot Combination Photographer: Forest Grove Conference 2023

We had the pleasure of attending the 12th annual Forest Grove Customer Conference from 19th - 21st February at the beautiful Mount Lofty House, Adelaide Hills. The conference provided attendees with two days of insightful talks, product education, and networking opportunities with Forest Grove's team and customers.

It was a full and consistent day of shooting in Hardy's Room, where I spent the entire day taking headshots of data professionals. Armed with my trusty Canon EOS R5 and the Sigma Art 50mm lens, I captured every detail and nuance of each individual's unique features. To create the perfect lighting for each shot, I used the Godox AD1200-Pro and neg fill.

Meanwhile, Frankie was tasked with capturing the conference as a whole, working tirelessly to capture every moment and highlight of the event. From the dynamic keynote speeches to the engaging breakout sessions, Frankie was always ready to capture every moment of the conference in stunning detail.

Together, we worked hard to create a visual record of the day that would be cherished by everyone involved. From the individual headshots to the broader conference, every detail was captured with precision and care. The result is a stunning collection of images that tell the story of a day filled with learning, networking, and connection.

One of the key features of the conference was the thought-provoking speakers. Adam Schindhelm, the CEO of award-winning design consultancy LX Group, talked about driving innovation through data and IOT: converging digital and physical worlds to unlock operational efficiencies. Jerome Treboux, an international data science expert, shared his experience of applying predictive modelling and machine learning. Rhys Meakins, the Head of Strategy and Technology at MLG Oz, talked about expanding data and financial literacy within organizations. Vincenzo Tursi, the Partner Director at KNIME, spoke about KNIME functionality and business value, while Pako Chan, the Program Manager in the Product Planning team at Prophix, talked about Prophix functionality and business value. Information and Systems Architect at RFDS, Clint Bowron, shared his experience of moving from spreadsheets to workflows, and Ross Gaskell, Director at Forest Grove, discussed connected services: integrating data sources for consistent access and delivery. Tommy Harstrom, the Analytics Director at Forest Grove, talked about visualization and storytelling: using Power BI and Tableau to build engaging dashboards.

The conference also provided opportunities for attendees to learn and share ideas, with an aged, disability, and community care breakfast hosted by Kim O'Connor, the FP&A Delivery Manager, West Coast.

The conference was an excellent opportunity to learn about emerging technologies, innovative solutions, and trends in data science.
